about bringing up minds
Bringing Up Minds is dedicated to helping parents and grandparents help children achieve success in school and beyond.
Our Philosophy
As informed and caring adults, we are obliged to observe young minds as they grow, becoming familiar with their emerging strengths along with their elusive shortfalls.
Applying the latest scientific findings, we can understand and manage the often puzzling individual variations in children's "brain wiring," an especially vital need when these differences obstruct learning, productivity, and niche finding. And we can support these kids without labeling them.
We can't help children unless we come to know them well as individuals. To treat them all the same is to treat them unequally. Most of all, we need to seek and celebrate every young brain's remarkable assets – all possess them!
The education and upbringing of minds should focus on strengthening strengths while helping children and adolescents understand and deal with their minds' shortcomings. In accomplishing these aims, we will ensure that all individuals savor authentic success in school and beyond.
